Gaelic

Donna Chouinard

After learning about the declining numbers of Gaelic speakers in 2008, Donna made an immediate decision to become involved in the preservation and promotion of the language.

Since then, she has completed 3 years of Gaelic study at the Atlantic Gaelic Academy through the Advanced Level. She is also the Gulf Coast Regional Representative for the American Gaelic Society striving to assist others in their Gaelic endeavors.

She aspires to bring the Ulpan Gaelic teaching method to the U.S. through her involvement with the American Gaelic Society so that Gaelic teachers in America may become certified, further increasing the position of the Gaelic language in the U.S.
