Carol Taylor, JM-Compliance, REBC

Treasurer

Carol Taylor was elected to the Board of Directors in 2021. She assumed the role of Treasurer as of the 2022 term and served as the Secretary for the 2021 term. Although a newer member of the Board, she has served on the Committee for well over 15 years. Her other responsibilities include coordinating the Scottish Fiddling Workshop & Competition, and co-chairs the Clans & Societies area, with her husband Matt.


Carol’s day job is being a nerd as a Compliance Specialist for BenefitMall, a general agency serving the health and benefit insurance agency community across the nation. She has been in the health and employee benefits insurance industry for over 30 years.


She is not a stranger to serving on Boards, as she has served on several of the National Association of Benefits & Insurance Professionals (NABIP) national, state and local Boards, Councils and committees since 2008. She has been recognized with Legislative Excellence Awards on several occasions, most notably for her work on the Cadillac Tax, one of the tax provisions that was included in the ACA, that was delayed and ultimately, repealed. Carol is the longest-standing member of their Compliance Corner Committee, serving since July 2013.


Carol has a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and recently completed a Juris Masters’ degree with High Distinction in Compliance, specializing in the healthcare and corporate fields from Liberty University. She also holds a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) designation.


She enjoys spending time with her family and their German Shepherd/Velociraptor mix, cooking, getting wind therapy on her motorcycle, and quilting.
